The Smith Family were growing roses back in the 1950's .redrosehd300txt  See our history section for the full story.
These days we have a carefully selected range of suppliers to give a broad range of roses. The stock has been checked and approved by Peter Smith, with 50 years in the horticultural business who is better placed for this task.

Everyone knows a Rose when they see it in flower. Roses are synonymous with the image of a typical English garden and have become a symbol of England throughout history.
Not only do roses come in a bewildering range of flower colours and sizes, there is also a wide and confusing range of types. From the smallest of patio roses to the most vigorous of Climbers, from strong vivid colours to the subtle soft warm colours Smith's Nurseries stocks a broad spectrum to cater for most needs.
Fresh stocks of Roses tend to arrive at the Nursery during the start of the two main seasons, Spring and Autumn,(March and Late October). However, due to the strong relationship with Rose suppliers, Smith's Nurseries reserves stock in order to maintain choice throughout the season.whiterose
The more popular of the Roses tend to be from the 'Celebration Range'. These can be from any of the categories shown, and are sold for their name rather than for specific colours or fragrance, they have however been carefully selected by the Breeders to be strong performers.  They are very popular as gifts, particularly the Anniversary Roses (Golden Wedding, Ruby Wedding etc).
If there are specific varieties you have set your heart on, just ask Smith's! We may be able to help..
