With Autumn well under way, it will only be a short time before the trees show off their great autumn colours.
'Dormant Season' is ideal for planting trees (ornamental and fruit), hedging, and shrubs. Over the next few weeks we have a large choice of interesting Nursery stock arriving to complement our own grown stock.
Did you know that if you plant early in dormant season, October - December, they will establish much quicker and be less prone to disease. In fact they may not even need watering in the Spring as they will have put sufficient roots into the ground during the winter.
When planting, our team here always use Mycorrhizal fungi (see Rootgrow.co.uk) to establish a secondary root system. We have had very few failures, even on the most difficult planting sites.
The beggining of the Autumn also sees the start of Smiths Nurseries 'Fruit Tree Event'. We have hundreds of trees in stock NOW ! with great expert advice in choosing and growing your own fruit. See the special offers regarding tis event.
